Description
Clear View Filtration’s New Mighty Prime High Pressure Priming System makes priming your engine quick, easy, and is done with a cordless hand drill. This high-pressure system eliminates dry startups and reduces engine part ware and failures. This Primer Kit will mount directly to Clear View’s 6” See Through Filters but can also be remotely mounted and used with any filter system, including Dry Sump systems. Clear View’s Priming Systems do not suck through or have the main engine oil feed lines running through this priming system, this could cause oil restrictions and possible engine failures. Mighty Prime Priming Systems are recommended to be used on all Gasoline and Alcohol engines. Also recommended for pickup diesel engines, such as Cummins, Duramax and Power Strokes!

VERY IMPORTANT The Mighty Prime Priming Systems are recommended to be used on all Gasoline and Alcohol engines. Also recommended for pickup diesel engines, such as Cummins, Duramax and Power Strokes! (*If running 6-cylinder Diesel Tractor Pulling engines, such as John Deere, International DT 466, or Caterpillar engine’s check out the Mega Prime Priming System*).
Wet Sump applications: A #10 fitting needs to be welded onto the oil pan. See How to Video here: Welding Fitting on Oil Pan When using a Clear View See Through Filter in conjunction with this Priming System, the oil will be sucked out of the oil pan using a #10 line into the inlet fitting on the Side of the Primer. Oil than pumps through the Primer body and out the one way check valve on the bottom. A #8 size line is used coming from the one way check valve to the usually plugged or unused port in the filter top of the See Through Filter Assembly, the port not being used for the main oil system. The one way check valve prevents oil from back feeding through the Primer when the engine is running. A #12 O-Ring Boss to #8 AN fitting for the filter inlet port is supplied in the kit. Priming System will work on any filter system. To watch an Install Video, click here: Install Mighty Prime on a Clear View Oil Filter
Dry Sump applications: When using a Clear View See Through Filter on the pressure side in conjunction with this Priming System, the oil will be sucked out of the dry sump tank using a #10 Line into the inlet fitting on the Side of the Primer. A #10 fitting may need to be welded onto the tank if there is not an extra port on the lower half of the tank. Oil than pumps through the Primer body and out the one way check valve on the bottom. A #8 size line is used coming from the one way check valve to the usually plugged or unused port in the filter top of the See Through Filter Assembly, the port not being used for the main oil system. A #12 O-ring Boss to #8 AN fitting is supplied in the kit to use in the filter inlet port. On systems that already have both inlets of the Clear View Filter being used, a T fitting must be plumbed into one of the inlet ports or feed lines. WARNING!! This High-Pressure High-Volume Primer will empty 4 or more quarts of oil out of the tank. After priming, the user must warm up the engine before making any passes or dyno testing. DO NOT RUN Priming Pump when the Motor is running, the one way check valve will be closed and could cause damage.
When Not running a Clear View Filter: This Priming System can be plumbed into any system, they can be mounted remotely to make it convenient in any engine compartment. Make sure that it’s feeding the inlet side of the Main Filter in the system. Very important that oil flows the correct direction through a disposable filter, if not it could cause the rubber diaphragm in the disposable filter to plug and restrict oil flow to the engine. WARNING!! Never plumb a priming system or an Accusump directly into the block oil galley after the disposable filter. This Priming System needs to be plumbed into the inlet side (the unfiltered oil side) before the disposable filter. Some blocks may not have this block plug before the filter, user should change to a remote filter, so no damage is caused to the disposable filter when priming.
Mounting Mighty Prime Priming Systems: The Mounting Bracket in this kit mounts to the bottom of the Mighty Prime Housing and to the bottom of any 6” Clear View Filter. The Primer Mounting bracket goes in-between the Clear View Filter Base and the existing Filter Mounting Bracket. Use the slightly longer bolts supplied with the kit when mounting. This mounts the Primer next to the Filter for convenience, it will hang out approx. 2.25” overall from the filters edge. User can also make mounting tabs for the priming pump to mount remotely. The 4” Primer Bracket works best for remote mounting.
How to Operate: Check out this Video to help explain: Operating The Mighty Prime Priming System . The Priming pump has two 1/16” pipe plugs located on the top. These plugs are to pre oil the priming pump when it is first installed or when it has been drained completely of oil. Remove these plugs and use a Oil Can to squirt 5 or more squirts of oil down in each hole may have to turn hex drive slightly to move the gears for the oil to get inside. VERY IMPORTANT to seal these plugs using pipe teflon tape and tighten before priming. If plugs are not sealed correctly, it can cause leaks when priming or loss of prime over time and the pump will need to be primed and plugs properly sealed again!
To Prime the Engine: Turn priming pump clockwise with a cordless battery drill with a 3/8” socket until the oil pressure gauge shows pressure. The Primer can be run for seconds or for minutes to be able to get oil all the way to the top end of the engine. If running a Dry Sump System, this Primer will empty multiple courts of oil out of the tank. Must warm up the engine before running again. The one way check valve prevents oil from back feeding through the Primer when the engine is running. DO NOT RUN Priming Pump when the Motor is running.
